Federico Bianchi
Qualifications: M.Sc. Chemistry with a thesis about aerosol chemistry, University of Milan.
Federico is currently a PhD student at ETH Zurich and working at PSI. His supervisors are Urs Baltensperger and Josef Dommen. The main topic of his thesis is the development of an instrument to measure low concentrations of ammonia and dimethylamines and determine their influence on nucleation. He is jointly responsible for CLOUD's ammonia and DMA detectors, and for the Aerosol Mass Spectrometer (AMS).
