Francesco Riccobono

Francesco Riccobono holds a B.Sc. in Physics from Università di Milano Bicocca (2006) and a M.Sc. in Physics from Università degli Sudi di Milano with a Major in Atmospheric Physics (2009).

At the moment he is a PhD student at ETH Zürich within the framework of the CLOUD Initial Training Network. His home office is at the Paul Scherrer Institut in the centre of the cloudy Swiss plateau; from there he carries out his studies on nucleation, taking part to the PSI Smog Chamber campaigns and preparing for the next CLOUD run. His studies mainly focus on nanoparticle measurements and instrument development. During the CLOUD experiments he performs particle size-distribution measurements with a nano-SMPS and a CPC battery.
