Dr. Jonathan Duplissy

Jonathan Duplissy has an M.Sc. in Physics (atmospheric sciences, 2004) from Université Blaise Pascal (Clermont-Ferrand, France) and a PhD thesis in Science from Ecole Polythenic Zurich (ETH, Switzerland, 2008).

His Ph.D. "Hygroscopic properties of secondary organic aerosol" was completed using PSI's smog chamber where he was the main operator together with Dr. Axel Metzger, who undertook his PhD at the same time. In 2006, during his PHD, he took part in the CLOUD prototype experiment held at CERN, and wrote a paper on these results. He currently holds a two-year Marie Curie Fellowship for his post-doctoral position at CERN on the CLOUD project. He has scientific and technical management responsibilities, including the role of Analysis Working Group Coordinator, coordination of analysing instruments among CLOUD partners, and CLOUD safety coordinator.
